If you're like most of our patients with scoliosis, your journey to find relief has likely been long and frustrating. You may have tried bracing to prevent the progression of your spinal curvature, or perhaps you’ve been recommended surgery as a last resort. Physical therapy might have offered temporary improvements in mobility, while pain medications or muscle relaxants were used to mask discomfort rather than address the root cause.

The process of treating scoliosis can feel overwhelming and discouraging, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Our precise approach targets the unique challenges of scoliosis, helping you find relief and improve your spinal health without invasive measures.

You're Not the Only One

Do I Have Scoliosis?

Scoliosis often develops gradually, making it difficult to detect without a professional assessment. However, there are signs you can look out for that may indicate a scoliosis-related issue.

Uneven shoulders or hips.
A visible curve in the spine when bending forward.
One side of the back appearing more prominent than the other.
Chronic back pain or discomfort with no apparent cause.
Difficulty standing straight or maintaining proper posture.

If you suspect scoliosis or are unsure, let us help. Our specialized scoliosis evaluations are designed to provide clarity and set you on a path to improvement.

Our Approach to Scoliosis Treatment

At Intero Chiropractic, we focus on precision adjustments to improve spinal alignment and address scoliosis at its core. Depending on the degree of curvature, our specialized care can help straighten the spine, reduce pain, and improve posture. Many of our scoliosis patients experience significant improvements in their spinal alignment, mobility, and quality of life.

What Can We Do for Scoliosis Patients

Realigning the Spine: Our adjustments aim to reduce spinal curvature and restore balance to the body. For many patients, this results in visible improvements in alignment and posture.
Reducing Pain and Discomfort: By addressing pressure on the nervous system and muscles caused by scoliosis, we help alleviate pain.
Enhancing Mobility: Personalized care targets stiffness and restrictions, allowing greater flexibility and range of motion.
Supporting Long-Term Health: Beyond the immediate benefits, our care helps maintain spinal health and prevent further progression of scoliosis.

What Our Satisfied Patients Are Saying

Aimee

As a dental hygienist, I often experience neck, shoulder, wrist and hand pain. I would do stretches and self-adjustments for immediate relief, but I felt I wasn't getting any better overall. My mom was a patient in the past and recommended Intero as it was my first time ever getting chiropractic treatment. I see Dr. Megan who is fantastic, efficient, and caring. She addresses all concerns using a methodic technique to help me correct my "tech" neck and maintain the health of my joints. I started to see improvement after a few sessions with Dr. Megan where I didn't feel the need to make self-adjustments. I am more energized and notice my posture is improving allowing me to better care for my patients at work. Thank you Dr. Megan and team for helping me succeed in my career.

I recently switched to Intero Chiropractic after a few months of not seeing any real results at a different chiropractic office. From my first appointment, I knew this place was the real deal. They conducted a series of tests and scans that my previous office did not. I've suffered from chronic migraines for a few years now and after about a month of working with Dr. Zak, they're just about completely gone! I've had only one headache since beginning the adjustments, but I felt the difference after just the second session.

I never write reviews but honestly this place has been a life saver. I am used to getting a headache about every 3/4 days and it is almost strange to have gone this long without one. I'm also happy about the fact that they address the multiple issues I was concerned with under the same plan. My last chiro would charge a whole different price for sinus adjustments but at Intero it's super convenient that all of my issues will be taken care of without having to worry about paying extra. I'm super excited to see how I will feel after completing their adjustment plan.

Kevin

Back in January, I started having neck pain with right arm numbness and tingling. These symptoms were so bad that I had difficulty sleeping, driving , walking, and even just spiking iv bags at work. I also had to stop playing golf; I was taking ibuprofen every 6 hours as well as a topical nsaid prescribed by my primary care physician.

Thank you Dr Megan and the rest of the staff at Intero Chiropractic! The majority of my symptoms have resolved, and I am able to work and play golf again!

FAQ

Do you take insurance?

We are in-network providers for Medicare and Personal Injury cases. We are not in network with other insurances to ensure we can provide the highest quality of care possible. This approach allows us to provide personalized treatment plans, diagnostic methods, and cutting-edge techniques without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. Our focus is on delivering the most effective care to achieve lasting results, which we believe leads to better health outcomes and lower healthcare costs in the long run.

How many visits will I need and how much will it cost?

This depends on your goals, as well as the extent of the problems. After we conduct a thorough Funneled Diagnosis™, which includes a case history, a 30 point exam, nerve assessments and full spine x-rays, we will be able to give you an estimated timeline as well as budgetary cost to achieve your health goals.

What is the process like to become a new patient?

On your first visit we'll perform a comprehensive diagnostic session which is crucial for understanding your unique health situation. We perform a full Health History Consultation, 30-Point Exam, full spine Nerve Assessment, and Full Spine Digital X-rays. This thorough approach allows us to uncover underlying issues that might be missed in a standard exam, ensuring we have a complete picture of your health.

After carefully analyzing your results, we meet again for a secondary visit to review our findings. We'll explain everything in detail, helping you understand your body's current state and why you're experiencing certain symptoms. Then, we'll present a tailored treatment plan designed specifically for your needs. This visit is your opportunity to gain clarity on your condition and understand which tools we'll need to employ to lead to lasting improvements in your health.

Do I need to take X-rays?

X-rays are essential to our diagnostic process. They allow us to thoroughly examine your spine before treatment, ensuring we provide the most accurate and effective care. We perform all X-rays in-house for your convenience. However, if you have full-spine X-rays taken within the last year, we can use those instead. Our goal is to have a complete picture of your spinal health to tailor our treatment to your specific needs so we are able to deliver the best possible outcomes for your health.

Also, if you have a contraindication (e.g., radiation therapy, pregnancy), please let us know and we will modify accordingly with a more detailed postural examination.

How is your treatment different from other chiropractic care?

Our approach is rooted in precision and science. Unlike many chiropractic practices that rely on generalized adjustments or guesswork, we take the time to understand exactly what’s causing your pain before starting treatment. You wouldn’t let a dentist start drilling your teeth without first performing an exam and taking X-rays, and we take the same approach to spinal health. Our goal isn’t just to treat symptoms—it’s to correct the problem at its source.

During your first visit, we perform a comprehensive consultation, 30-point exam, nerve assessment, and full spine X-rays to ensure we have a clear picture of your condition. This allows us to create a highly personalized treatment plan that addresses the root cause of your pain, providing long-term relief and improved health.
